Carhartt

Carhartt was named in the report from the Helena Kennedy Centre, published in November 2021, as one of many international brands whose supply chains were linked to textile companies known to source cotton from Xinjiang.

The investigation identified Texhong Textile Group. as part of Carhartt’s supply chain, with cotton fabric listed on shipping records from a subsidiary matching the description for 100% cotton jackets sent to Carhartt’s Netherlands branch.

In response to the report’s findings, a Carhartt spokesperson said that “All factories producing goods for Carhartt are required to comply with the Company's Workplace Code of Conduct, which includes a specific ‘prohibition of involuntary, prison, or forced labor - indentured, bonded or otherwise’ and a methodology to verify compliance with labor standards.
